Why Bikram Yoga is not healthy for Madonna

There are many reasons why Bikram Yoga style is not healthy for Madonna.

(a)Artificial Heat: In Bikram yoga style it is recommended that room temperature should be heated up at minimum 105F that is 40.5degree centigrade.  So the room should be really hot to sweat more while doing yoga.

Now if we go by this logic of Mr Bikram Choudhary then the best place to do yoga should be a desert. Isn’t it?

Well that’s not the case. While it make sense to warm up your body before going for any stretching in yoga but we don’t need to artificially heat our body from outside instead we need to warm up our body internally.

Body can be internally warm up easily by doing 6 to 12 rounds of sun salutation and if you are considering stronger workout perhaps you may practice even 15 to 20 rounds of sun salutation to naturally heat up your body and you don’t really need artificial heating of the room.

(b) Fresh Air: The best location to practice yoga is a place where fresh air is available in plenty. When we breathe in fresh air during yoga, it can help in rejuvenating body and mind.

Now the point is fresh air is not available in Bikram yoga classes as all the doors and windows are closed to heat up the room so yoga practitioner gets in return stale air instead of fresh air which is definitely unhealthy.

(c) Dehydration: If you are not use to hot temperature you body can get dehydrated in the heat and you may feel sick.

(d)Well you may be healthy but that doesn’t mean everybody who comes to the Bikram yoga class room is also healthy so the point is you may end up smelling the sweat of unhealthy person.

Choice is always yours.
